Florida State University
Sponsored by Garnet and Gold Key Leadership Honorary
March 19, 2007
Once again, it is that time of year when Garnet and
Gold Key sponsors the Senior Hall of Fame. This is recognition
awarded to top seniors who have exemplified outstanding
leadership throughout their college career. Selection
is based on a number of criteria, including scholarship,
leadership, philanthropy, athletics, and the arts. An
applicant need not be accomplished in all areas, but
should have made a significant contribution to the Florida
State University and the community as a whole. Recipients
will have their portrait taken and displayed on the
third floor of the Oglesby Student Union, known as the
“Hall of Fame.”
A candidate may be nominated by any FSU faculty member,
staff member, or organization. The student must be of
senior standing (having 90 hours completed by date of
application) that will be graduating in the year 2007
(Spring, Summer, or Fall semesters).
Garnet and Gold Key is seeking to acknowledge a diverse
group of leaders who exemplify school spirit and leadership.
Please nominate all persons whom you feel meet the above
criteria. Should you have any questions concerning the
Hall of Fame or the application process, please feel
free to contact us.
• The completed application,
nomination form, cover letter, and fee are due before
5PM Wednesday, April 4, to the front desk of the Student
Government Offices, second floor of the Student Union.
• Candidates will be notified by Friday, April
6 if they are selected for an interview. Interviews
will be held during the evenings of April 9 and 12.
The selection board will be composed of two undergraduate
students, one faculty member, and one administrator.
• Ten inductees will be announced April 13. That
week they will have their photos taken for the Hall
of Fame in the University Photo Lab.
Thank you and good luck!
